Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy of locating and correcting interference in the nervous system, which is called a subluxation. Through specific, gentle chiropractic adjustments the body is able to communicate better and function more efficiently.

+ I've never been to a Chiropractor before, what should I expect?

At Pivotal Family Chiropractic we take our time to educate you fully throughout the process. We ensure that all of your questions will be answered before your first adjustment. On day 1, you can expect to take a tour of our office, an exam utilizing our NASA published technology, and x-rays if needed. Your first visit will be approximately 60 minutes.

+ How much will chiropractic care cost?

Every person and case is different. It is difficult to be sure how much it will cost before the doctor has had a chance to evaluate you and determine what care you will need. After your first visit, we’ll have a better picture of what the financial aspect will look like and will present that to you on your second visit.

+ I'm in a lot of pain. Will I get adjusted at my first visit?

We don't typically adjust on the first visit. There are two things that are the most important to us: your health and our reputation. We are not willing to jeopardize either by rushing into your treatment. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. It is imperitive that we discuss your health history, perform an examination, and have time to review your case to determine the best method of care for you.

+ Why do babies and kids need to be adjusted?

One of the biggest traumas in your life is the process of being born. It is important for babies and kids to get checked for subluxations so that they can have a nervous system free from interference, allowing them to adapt and grow the way that God intended them to!

+ How do you adjust?

We utilize Torque Release Technique.

+ Do you take insurance?

We are in the process of getting in network with all major insurance companies. In the meantime, we would be happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. You may submit for reimbursement based on your personal coverage.

+ Will I need x-rays?

Every person is unique and each situation is different. We use x-rays as a diagnostic tool to better understand the structure of your spine and the extent of your health concerns. Our moto is "to see is to know and to not see is to guess". Therefore, x-rays are a very important tool to see the health of your spine.

+ How many visits will I need?

Every case is different. We will not know how many visits are needed before we have had a chance to fully evaluate your health concerns, review your examination results, and understand your health goals.
